Postcard Work
2016
Series of watercolor painting sent from Germany to Korea
Watercolor on paper, stamps, marker
Each 24 x 17 cm / 18 x 12,5 cm

The artist made 13 postcard-sized watercolor paintings and sent them to the address of Seoul where her exhibition will take place before she departed for Korea. Those paintings are color planes. Appearing like a color combination, each composite suggests its own abstract meaning. The color combination serves as a sort of code without any explanation. And the possible loss or damage during the mail delivery becomes an essential element for the final completion of this work.
